Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Mayor of Tarrafal is in Portugal to fulfill a work agenda and contacts between twinned City Halls from the European country, aiming, among others, to attract investment for tourism in the municipality.
Speaking to Inforpress in Lisbon, José dos Reis explained that this visit will be in contact with the City Hall of the District of Lisbon, but also with the Northern region of Portugal, as well as the polytechnic institutes hosting students from Tarrafal.
“I am making contact with the City Hall of Grândola, which is partner and friend, to fulfill a work agenda with the City Hall of Marinha Grande and with the polytechnic institutes hosting students from Tarrafal for several years,” said the edil.
José dos Reis recalled that the first twinning of the City Hall of Tarrafal was with the City Hall of Amadora, so he said he understood that the path is towards “mobilization of partnerships and combination of strategies with municipalities friends at the level of the country and abroad”, since “decentralized cooperation is a way to mobilize financing”.
