Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Boa Vista Turtle Project collected on Sunday about 80 garbage bags on the islet of Sal Rei (Djéu) during the clean-up campaign held to commemorate World Environment Day, which is marked today.

The Tartaruga Boa Vista Project is funded by the MAVA Foundation, which is implemented by sea turtle conservation organizations on the Boa Vista Island, formed by Cabo Verde Natura 2000, Tartaruga Foundation, Bios.CV, Varandinha Association, Onze Estrela Clube de Bofareira and Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

The information was certified by the environmental coordination assistant of the Boa Vista Turtle Project, Samira Vieira, who, after the campaign, evaluated the activity promoted by the Boa Vista Turtle Project, in partnership with NGOs and project partners.

It was attended by Red Cross volunteers and people linked to the Guardians of the Sea Project.
