Africa-Press – Cape verde. The building of the former fish canning factory in Ponta de Atum, in Tarrafal de Monte Trigo, Porto Novo, will be rehabilitated for tourist purposes within the scope of the recovery project of that tourist village.
The project, to which Inforpress had access, provides for the recovery of this building currently in a situation of abandonment, which may receive a center for the promotion of outdoor sports activities, a project in charge of a group of private individuals interested in the promotion of water sports in the Tarrafal de Monte Trigo.
Tarrafal de Monte Trigo will receive, from this year, investments around 66 million escudos in the valorization of this tourist village, whose project was recently launched by the Prime Minister.
In addition to the recovery of the building of the old canning factory, this project also provides for the construction of a tourist office, the improvement of the facades of the houses, the relocation of the pigsty at the entrance of this village, among other interventions.
