Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Executive Secretariat of CCS-SIDA signs this Friday afternoon, 8, a cooperation protocol with the Cape Verdean Institute for Gender Equality and Equity (ICIEG), within the scope of a program to fight malaria, tuberculosis and HIV.

This protocol, which will be signed by the Executive Secretary of CCS-SIDA, Maria Celina Ferreira and by the President of ICIEG, Marisa Carvalho, aims to establish a partnership to carry out activities included in the execution plan of the program “Investing to Achieve Malaria Elimination and Impact of the Fight Against Tuberculosis and HIV in Cape Verde”.

According to a press release, this program is funded by the Global Fund, an international donor that funds the fight against these diseases, including Covid-19.

For such implementation, the Executive Secretariat of CCS-SIDA, which presents itself as the “Main Recipient” of the Government’s funds and multisectoral bodies and responsible for the implementation of the HIV-AIDS policy in Cape Verde, will join ICIEG through a partnership protocol to be signed today, at 3 pm, at the Secretariat’s premises, on Avenida Cidade de Lisboa, Praia.
