Africa-Press – Cape verde. The fifth and final suspect in the theft of more than ten thousand escudos from a Lebanese citizen of the Kim Negoce Group, which took place last June, in the neighborhood of Achada Grande Frente, Cidade da Praia, is already in preventive detention.
According to a statement from the Regional Command of Santiago Sul and Maio, the last of the five suspects in the robbery that took place in June, in Achada Grande Frente, was arrested on Saturday, 09, and is in preventive detention, after being presented to the judicial authorities.
The arrest took place in the neighborhood of Moinho, Lém Cachorro, following the investigation into the theft of 10,125,560 escudos, taken from a Lebanese citizen, from the Kim Negoce Group, using the threat with a firearm.
The detainee was presented, Monday, 11, to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the first interrogation and, as a coercive measure, preventive detention was ordered.
The National Police recalls that, on the date of the facts, four of the suspects had been arrested, in flagrante delicto and that, when presented to the Public Ministry, they were also given preventive detention.
Also, adds the PN, at the time of the arrests, the amount subtracted in full was recovered and four firearms of conventional manufacture (of caliber intended for the security forces and services) and the vehicle used in the escape were seized.
