Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Ministry of Health diagnosed, in the last few hours, nine more positive cases of covid-19, after analyzing 313 samples. With 52 recovered, the number of assets drops to 284.
According to the epidemiological bulletin released this Sunday, the nine cases were found in Praia (1), São Salvador do Mundo (1), São Filipe (1), Ribeira Grande de Santo Antão (2), São Vicente (3) and Tarrafal de São Nicolau (1).
The 52 recovered are distributed over the following municipalities: Praia 1, São Lourenço dos Órgãos 1, São Filipe 6, Monastery 12, Santa Catarina do Fogo 1, Ribeira Grande de Santo Antão 5, São Vicente 13, Ribeira Brava 5, and May 8 .
The country now has 284 active cases, 61174 recovered cases, 409 deaths, 46 deaths from other causes and 9 transferred, making a total of 61922 accumulated positive cases.

Data from the Ministry of Health (MS) indicate that, in the period from 27 June to 10 July (that is, until last Sunday), a total of 8,955 samples were analyzed (an average of 640 samples analyzed per day) and identified an overall of two thousand and 66 new cases.
The accumulated Incidence Rate – at the National Level -, in the aforementioned period, was 363 per hundred thousand inhabitants, with a Transmissibility Rate (Rt) of 0.58 and a Positivity Rate (average) of 23.1 percent ( %).
Regarding Vaccination, until July 3, Cape Verde had already used 744 thousand 351 (71.1%) Vaccines against the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Of the estimated number of adults, 320 thousand and four individuals (representing 98.2%) had already taken the First Dose; 278,341 (85.4%) adults have already been fully vaccinated; and a total of 96 thousand 436 (29.6%) had already taken the Booster Dose.
Regarding adolescents, a total of 46 thousand 606 (86.7%) had already received the First Dose and 38 thousand 967 (72.5%) had already been fully vaccinated (as of 3 July).
In order to mitigate the consequences of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Cape Verde, the MS reiterates the appeal to join the Vaccination Campaign, which is taking place throughout the Archipelago, so that everyone can be more protected, as soon as possible. possible.
