Africa-Press – Cape verde. Paul’s Weden Boys team won this Saturday the Santo Antão cup, in futsal, by beating Tokyo, from Porto Novo, by 3-2.
The first edition of the Santo Antão Cup in futsal was an initiative of the Grupo Dinamizador dos Desportos de Salão do Porto Novo, with the purpose of choosing the players who will integrate the Santo Antão selection of the modality that will participate in the inter-island Futsal Cup.
The inter-island Futsal Cup, likely to take place in November, is an initiative of the Juntos pela officialização do futsal in Cape Verde movement.
Futsal has been the most prominent sport, at this time, on the island of Santo Antão, with competitions being held in all municipalities.
