Africa-Press – Cape verde. The merger project between the Sotavento Chamber of Commerce (CCS) and the Sotavento Commercial Association (ACS) will be consolidated tomorrow, with the official act of transferring responsibilities from ACS to CCS, which will take place at the latter’s premises, from 5 pm.
According to the Sotavento Chamber of Commerce, in a statement, the merger project took shape in 2020, with the purpose of “constituting a strong business organization in the region”, to speak with “one voice”, ensuring “greater representation and notoriety in business terms, optimizing means, resources and efforts”.
According to the same source, in legal terms, the modality of merger is that of incorporation, “the CCS assuming all the rights, duties and obligations of the two associations assumed before the merger”.
The merger, he says, represents an “important milestone” in the history of associativism in Cape Verde and in that of the two associations.
The transfer of responsibilities takes place this Wednesday, 10th, at 5:00 pm, at the CCS headquarters, through a formal act, in which the Sotavento Chamber of Commerce attests that it will be “institutionally even stronger”, with the incorporation of an organization with such an “extraordinary legacy” as the Sotavento Commercial Association.
