Africa-Press – Cape verde. This Friday, the man accused of defrauding Cape Verdean businessman Braz de Andrade was arrested. The information was confirmed to A Nação by Braz himself, who says he expects the debt related to accommodation to be paid, at around 1,300 contos.
Contacted by A Nação on Saturday morning, Braz de Andrade said that the alleged scammer was arrested yesterday, according to judicial information, underlining the authorities’ quick action.
“Now I hope he is obliged to pay me the amount owed. I saw the Judiciary Police very diligent in the investigations, now it is in the hands of justice,” he said.
Braz de Andrade guaranteed that, after its publication on Facebook, he learned that other people would have been victims of the same person.
“After all, you are not a new person in this type of crime. He has already tried to cheat many people”, he accused.

It is worth remembering that businessman Braz de Andrade announced, this Friday, on Facebook, that he was the victim of a scam, allegedly perpetrated by a foreign citizen, in the purchase of the Hotel Vulcão, located in Cidade Velha.
Braz de Andrade, a well-known businessman on the island of Santiago, accused the alleged fraudster of having written bad checks for the purchase of the Hotel Vulcão, as well as to settle the debts of four months of stay in the same space, in the amount of 1300 contos.
The alleged fraudster, who would have been introduced to the businessman “by two Cape Verdeans with great responsibility”, according to the same source, has triple nationality (Russian, Israeli and Nigerian).
