Africa-Press – Cape verde. The President of the Republic, José Maria Neves, receives, this Monday, a delegation of six senators from the United States of America (USA), five congressmen and a representation of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
On a 24-hour visit to the country, the delegation, led by Senator Chris Coons, of the State of Delaware, is also accompanied by a representation of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), led by its PCA, Alice Albright.
On the agenda of concerns, says the Presidency of the Republic, are the on-site verification of projects with funding from the Millennium Challenge Account, food security, maritime security, climate change and the digital economy.
The meeting with the President will be “an opportunity for the parties to reflect on new ways to strengthen cooperation between our two countries”, said the same source.
