Africa-Press – Cape verde. A total of 300 scholarships will be awarded by the Government of Cape Verde, through the Fund for the Promotion of Employment and Training, to the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Cape Verde. Of these, 118 are aimed at young people from Santo Antão, São Vicente, Maio and Brava.
The scholarships will be awarded to young people aged between 17 and 35, with Cape Verdean nationality, or legally residing in Cape Verde and to young people who are enrolled in groups 1 and 2 of the Single Social Registry.
Of the 300 scholarships, 118 are intended for young people from Santo Antão, São Vicente, Maio and Brava and will cover the costs inherent to training with a “significant percentage”, in the amount of the tuition fee and the full costs of food and accommodation.
The award includes professional courses in Cooking and Pastry, Restaurant and Beverages, Pastry and Bakery, Hotel Accommodation Management, Hotel Management and Technique, Tourist Guide and Entertainment.
Applications for scholarships run until 28 August.
