Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Regional Football Association in Santo Antão Sul has scheduled, for August 30, the Meeting with Clubs, to approve the Sports Season Plan in this Region, which will begin in November, with the Super Cup.
The Events Calendar to be discussed by the Clubs, and to which Inforpress had access, says that the Super-Cup will be the First Competition to be played between the Academic Teams (Regional Champion), and Tarrafal, Winner of the Porto Novo Cup .
Also in November, the Clubs should start playing in the Porto Novo Cup, the second most important competition on the Football Calendar in Santo Antão Sul, after the Regional Championship, which should start in December.
However, the Sports Season in Santo Antão should be marked by the institutionalization of the Santo Antão Club League and the resumption of the Island Cup in Football, Events whose Organization will be in charge of the two Regional Associations.
The Santo Antão Club League, which will take place between April and May 2023, will be played by six Clubs, that is: the three best-ranked Teams, in each Sporting Region (North and South), in the respective Regional Championships.
The Regional Football Associations in Santo Antão also intend to resume the Santo Antão Cup, a mandatory event, played in a single-legged elimination system, by all the Clubs Enrolled in the Official Events of each Sporting Region.
