Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Cabo Verdean Music Society (SCM) will hold, as of Monday, 26, training on copyright legislation and sector inspection for National Police personnel, at the Regional Command in São Vicente.
The training aims to provide capacity building in legislative matters and the inspection processes provided for in the law, in force in the country, whose attributions are assigned to the National Police, as one of the entities that by law must supervise public crimes and assist in crimes of usurpation. and intellectual property counterfeiting.
During the training, which will take place over four days, says SCM, topics such as an overview of copyright, related rights, collective management and the path of SCM, Cape Verdean legal framework for copyright and collective management will be taught.
In addition, he adds, PN elements will also receive training on inspection “as a fundamental pillar for the proper functioning of the copyright sector”, categories of copyright and related rights holders, operational processes – registration of works and musical recordings, documentation and licensing.
