This Saturday, 08, the Santiago team thrashed the Boa Vista counterpart by 7-0, in the opening game of the Inter-ilhas Futsal Cup’2022, which took place at the Vavá Duarte pavilion, in the city of Praia. Today, starting at 8 pm, it is Sal’s turn to face Santo Antão, a game that opens group C, and then in poule A, Santiago sponsors Maio’s debut in the competition.
In the game, counting for the first round of group A, the Santiagos were superior throughout the game and with this 7-0 rout against Boa Vista, they are close to securing a place in the semi-finals.
In the second match of the night, referring to group B, São Vicente beat São Nicolau by 5-1.

Today, starting at 8 pm, it’s Sal’s turn to face Santo Antão, a game that opens group C, and then, in poule A, Santiago sponsors Maio’s debut in the competition.
It should be remembered that this event, promoted by the Movimento Juntos pela Oficinalização do Futsal in Cape Verde, runs until October 15th at the Vavá Duarte Sports Pavilion.
According to the draw, the teams from Santiago, Boa Vista and Maio form Group A, São Nicolau, São Vicente and Brava share Poule B, while the regional combinations of Sal, Santo Antão and Fogo form Group C.
Format
The format of the competition is three groups made up of three teams, with the winner of each group and the best runner-up for the semi-finals.
During the inter-Ilhas week, the futsal week takes place, with a workshop on the sport and its biggest and best projection on the international scene.
Created on July 16, 2021, the movement “Together for the officialization of futsal in Cape Verde” aims to raise awareness among young people to practice the sport, as well as contribute to a healthy lifestyle.
