Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Instituto da Biblioteca Nacional de Cabo Verde and the Municipality of Ribeira Grande Santiago will sign, this Monday, 24, a cooperation protocol that aims to promote the improvement of the actions of public libraries.
The aim is, according to a note from the BNCV, to ensure cooperation with public institutions with responsibilities in the field, including municipalities, promoting the improvement of actions and introducing a new dynamic in public libraries.
“The Cape Verde National Library Institute’s mission is to catalog, conserve, disseminate and enrich the fields of knowledge, ensure the coordination and execution of the integrated policy on non-school books, libraries and reading”, stresses the same source.
The signing of the protocol takes place this Monday, at 10 am, at the Municipal Library of São Martinho.
