Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Cape Verdean under-20 men’s handball team debuts today in the Zone II Challenge Trophy Tournament. Cape Verde faces Sierra Leone, a match to be played in Guinea Conakry, starting at 7 pm in Cape Verde.
For this competition, taking place from 25th to 30th of the current year, in Conakry, the national under-20 team is technically guided by coach Ima Graça.
The Cape Verdean delegation arrived this Monday, 24, in Sierra Leone after a technical stopover of a few hours in Senegal, on a journey considered smooth.
“High morale”
It should be noted that despite having not even performed any training in this country, Graça believes that the group is motivated and with high morale.
Cape Verde and Sierra Leone will face each other in the opening game at 20:00 local time (19:00 in Cape Verde).
The national under-20 handball team shares Group B with the national teams of Senegal and Sierra Leone, while group A is made up of the national teams of Guinea Conakry, Mali, Guinea Bissau and Gambia.
