Africa-Press – Cape verde. The 10th Extraordinary General Assembly of the Investment and Development Bank of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) – BIDC – takes place this Thursday, 27th, in Praia. The meeting will be chaired by Olavo Correia, president of the Governors of the BIDC.
In this 10th General Assembly, which will take place behind closed doors, the finance ministers of the ECOWAS member states will take stock of the bank’s activities in the last year and outline strategic actions for the coming times.
The meeting will be chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Business Development of Cape Verde, Olavo Correia, in his capacity as chairman of the Governors of the BIDC.
For this “important meeting”, says the Government, in a press release, the presence of entities such as the Vice-President of the ECOWAS Commission, the Head of International and Regional Economic Policy and Alternate Director of the BIDC, director of the Office of the Minister of Finance of Côte d’Ivoire and the Ministers of Finance of Benin, Gambia, Ghana (deputy), Guinea-Bissau, Liberia (deputy), Niger (delegated minister), Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo.
