Fernando Fernandes, Cape Verde national team selector, summoned 18 athletes of which 14 are residents and four from the diaspora, for the most important mission in terms of the sport in Africa.
The Cape Verde team is part of Group A, with the teams from Angola, DR Congo and Algeria.
The participation of the athletes in the biggest African handball competition has the financial support of the Government, through the Institute of Sport and Youth.
