Africa-Press – Cape verde. Filomena Gonçalves and Janine Lélis, this Wednesday, sworn in as Minister of Health and
Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and Parliamentary Affairs, respectively, and promised to assume the new functions with a sense of mission “ to serve Cape Verde”.
The inauguration ceremony happened this afternoon, at the Presidency of the Republic and with the Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva. The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia hopes that the new ministers continue the “good work” Filomena Gonçalves performed as Minister of the
Presidency of the Council of Ministers and of Parliamentary Affairs, a portfolio that will be accumulated by the Minister of Defense and Territorial Cohesion, Janine Lélis.
“I hope they continue to do a good work, especially because they are ministers who were in the government, now with new responsibilities. I am talking about the Health sector and the Presidency of Parliamentary Affairs and I want to wish them all the best, they already know the
house”, he said.
Asked if he avoided nominating, other personalities to assume the Minister of Health Arlindo do Rosário portfolio, to prevent criticism regarding the so-called “fat” government, Ulisses Correia e Silva replies not and that was a choice made with all tranquility.
