Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Cabo Verdean Olympic Committee (COC) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Cabo Verdean Basketball Federation and the Cabo Verdean Surfing Federation, Thursday, in Praia, within the scope of the Olympic Solidarity programs.
The memorandum focuses on training courses, organized by trainers appointed by the International Federations of the aforementioned modalities, namely technical courses for female coaches for surfing and male coaches for basketball.
With these trainings, the Olympic Committee intends to support the development of modalities in Cape Verde, in order to enhance the skills of national coaches, so that they can lead athletes to the highest level and to success in their modalities.
This training, according to the COC, is a continuation of those already carried out this year, for coaches of baseball, rhythmic gymnastics, handball and swimming, through applications to the program.
On the part of the federations, the documents were signed by the president of the Cape Verdean Surfing Federation, Emanuel Almeida and by the technical director of the Cape Verdean Basketball Federation Emanuel Trovoada, who accumulates the functions of the Cape Verde men’s coach.
