Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Independent and Democratic Cabo Verdean Union (UCID) has, as of this Monday, a new Regional Headquarters on the island of Sal, in Cha\u0303 de Fraqueza, linked to Cha\u0303 de Matias, a one of the most populous neighborhoods on the island.<\/p>\n

UCID leader Joa\u0303o Santos Lui\u0301s, who ended a three-day visit to Sal today, took the opportunity to witness the inauguration of the new UCID headquarters.<\/p>\n

In his speech on the occasion, he explained that the party had long been aware of the existence of \u201cexcellent potential\u201d for development that the island of Sal offers its population, having, at the congress held last March, elected as a of the priorities an \u201ceffective dynamization\u201d of the party in the island.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo that its population can accept and understand that the UCID is a credible and determined option capable of making a different policy and directed to serve the interests of the island and its people\u201d, he noted.<\/p>\n
