Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The First Lady of Cape Verde, De\u0301bora Carvalho, is in Rabat, Morocco, to participate as Sponsor of the International African Fashion Fair (FIMA), which opens today in that country.<\/p>\n

As she shared on her official page on the social network Facebook, this participation involves the objective of promoting Cape Verdean culture, through the exhibition of traditional Cape Verdean products based on the \u201ccloth of earth\u201d and handicrafts, which will be present in the contest.<\/p>\n

FIMA, which runs from the 7th to the 10th of December, has the high patronage of the King of Morocco.<\/p>\n

The event asserts itself as a \u201cgreat meeting\u201d of African fashion, which aims to promote and internationalize the African Fashion industry and Culture, with the broader objective of contributing to the union of people, cultivating peace and strengthening the development of the African continent.<\/p>\n

After FIMA, De\u0301bora Carvalho heads to the United States, where she will be a speaker at an event on the \u201cFirst Ladies of Africa\u201d, on the 12th.<\/p>\n

This is an initiative promoted by the Women United Foundation (WUF), a non-governmental organization based in California, USA.<\/p>\n

The objective is to create an international platform for dialogue and exchange of experiences for all women, in order to project their work collectively.<\/p>\n
