Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Cape Verde School of Hospitality and Tourism (EHTCV) and the TUI Care Foundation created the TUI Academy Cabo Verde program whose objective is to train 350 underprivileged young people from the islands of Sal and Boa Vista in the tourism sector.<\/p>\n

As explained by the EHTCV, the project aims to provide unemployed young people from more vulnerable families, especially women, with access to certified training, with a view to obtaining opportunities to enter the job market, namely in hotels, restaurants and tourism.<\/p>\n

The TUI Academy Cabo Verde program , as they explain, comes precisely with the purpose of training young people with \u201cknowledge\u201d for the \u201cdemanding\u201d tourism market.<\/p>\n

The first edition starts today at Nu\u0301cleo do Sal, at Mercado Municipal Santa Maria, and has 60 trainees, 30 for the kitchen area and 30 for catering, on level III. The eighth year of basic education is the minimum required level of education.<\/p>\n

The training is divided into two parts, three months of theoretical classes and five months of practical classes in a hotel on the island of Sal.<\/p>\n

It also supports education and training opportunities for young people, promotes the protection of the natural environment and helps local communities thrive in a sustainable way, with a view to benefiting the tourism sector.<\/p>\n
