Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The mayor of Sa\u0303o Filipe, Nui\u0301as Silva, said this Wednesday that his institution is available to help financially and sociologically the Local Network for the Protection of Children Against Abuse and Sexual Exploitation.<\/p>\n

The openness and availability were manifested in the opening ceremony of the Network\u2019s local headquarters, located in the neighborhood of Achada Sa\u0303o Filipe, in front of the secondary school Dr. Teixeira de Sousa, having also made available to help with social work in the neighborhoods and in identifying critical points and even filing these responsibilities.<\/p>\n

The island of Fogo, with regard to sexual abuse and exploitation, deserves \u201cspecial attention\u201d, whether from civil society, local and national authorities who, according to Nui\u0301as Silva, have to design \u201cspecific, concrete and convergent\u201d policies for residents with specific needs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a diagnosis that the issue of abuse against children and adolescents in abuse and sexual exploitation material deserves special attention from everyone,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n
