Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>Between October and December 2022, there was a 79.8% increase in the number of aircraft handled at national airports and aerodromes, compared to the same period in 2022, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INE) today.<\/p>\n

Likewise, these data translated into a significant increase of 153.0% in the number of passengers handled at airports and aerodromes, in the period under review, compared to the same period of the previous year.<\/p>\n

In the transport report for the 3rd quarter of last year, INE also points to a growth of 29.6% in tons of cargo handled at airports and airfields in the country and a decrease of 9.5% in mail handled in these infrastructures.<\/p>\n

Regarding the number of ships handled in the ports of Cape Verde, there was an increase of 7.3% and a growth of 7.3% in the number of passengers circulating in these ports.<\/p>\n

However, there is a decrease of 0.8% in the number of goods handled in national ports, according to INE data.<\/p>\n

With regard to buses, there is an increase of 1.5% in the number of passengers transported.<\/p>\n
