The president of the IPC, Jair Fernandes, in statements to Inforpress, advanced this information stressing that there exists a \u201cchallenging\u201d project that is part of the activity plan of that institution, to have the city of humanity free of fossil fuels. Moreover, the institute is mobilizing resources for its implementation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are other major projects that are identified and signaled within the framework of the activities plan, requiring the mobilization of resources that may or may not be made available that year. This project is a great challenge that we have already had the opportunity to socialize with Unesco, which is to make the Cidade Velha World Heritage Site 100% clean, 100% renewable energy\u201d, he explained.<\/p>\n

For Jair Fernandes, the implementation of this project would be an example of \u201cgood practices\u201d in Cape Verde, as it meets the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n
