Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The success of the Porto Novo, Cape Verdean Youth Capital City 2023 initiative will depend on the projects and actions that youth associations and community leaders are able to present and materialize throughout this year.<\/p>\n

These statements are from the Deputy Minister of the Prime Minister for Youth and Sports, Carlos Monteiro, delivered this Saturday, in Santo Anta\u0303o, at the official launch of the initiative Porto Novo, Cidade Capital da Juventude 2023, which has the technical and financial support of the United Nations System in Cape Verde.<\/p>\n

For the minister, the challenge has been launched and the success of this initiative will not depend on the Government, nor on the City Hall of Porto Novo, but, in his view, on young people and the impact of the projects and actions they manage to carry out until December.<\/p>\n

Carlos Monteiro announced that the nomination of Porto Novo as a \u201cyouth center in Cape Verde\u201d throughout this year responds to a request made in 2020 by the youth of Porto Novo, who promise to make the event the best of the fourth editions held so far.<\/p>\n
