Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Chamber of Sa\u0303o Miguel, through its President Herme\u0301nio Fernandes, regretted today the death of collaborator Pedro Celestino Gomes Correia, who, since the creation of the municipality, dedicated himself and worked towards its construction and development. Correia, a multifaceted citizen, was, among other things, a musician and former national deputy, in addition to holding other positions in the local authority.<\/p>\n

In a publication on his Facebook page, the mayor of Sa\u0303o Miguel lamented the loss of this \u201cillustrious citizen\u201d, born in Sa\u0303o Miguel, from the town of Flamengos.<\/p>\n

Pedro Celestino, recalls Herme\u0301nio, was a teacher, musician, writer, politician, having played the role of Councilor for Culture in Tarrafal City Council and also Deputy of the Nation.<\/p>\n

In public administration, he was also Director of the former SAAS (Autonomous Water and Sanitation Service) in Sa\u0303o Miguel and in 2004 he assumed the position of Advisor to the then Mayor of Sa\u0303o Miguel, Joa\u0303o Duarte, having later been director of his office , and also director of the current president’s cabinet.<\/p>\n

\u201cPedro Celestino was an excellent multifaceted citizen, who contributed strongly to the affirmation of Sa\u0303o Miguel,<\/p>\n
