Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The president of Toreense Sport Club, Carlos Bartolomeu, accuses the arbitration in Santo Anta\u0303o Norte of discriminatory and unequal treatment in regional games. According to him, the club has been penalized \u201calmost every week\u201d by the arbitration that he classifies as complacent. If the situation is not resolved, the club promises to withdraw from competitions and denounce the arbitration to CAF and FIFA.<\/p>\n

Carlos Bartolomeu understands that there are refereeing criteria that need to be standardized and mentions a series of irregularities in refereeing in matches of the <\/a>Torrense Sport Club. As an example, he talks about unmarked penalties, unmarked fouls, goals followed by fouls, among other alleged irregularities that, according to him, have led to the defeat of the club.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have been discriminated against day after day, namely by an arbitration that insists on being implacable with our team and not very tolerant, considering the technical and disciplinary attitude of some referees towards other teams in the same sporting region , has been the opposite\u201d, writes Carlos Bartolomeu<\/p>\n

The accusation, according to the president of the club, is not a \u201clack of fair play or bad losing\u201d, but a call for attention to reassess the effort that is made to dignify football.<\/p>\n

Report situation to CAF and FIFA<\/p>\n

The case has already been reported to the Arbitration Council and, according to Bartolomeu, if measures are not taken, Torreense will withdraw from the official competitions organized by the Regional Football Association in Santo Anta\u0303o Norte and by the Cabo Verdean Football Federation, as well as expose the situation to CAF and FIFA.<\/p>\n

The club understands that \u201cthere are good referees\u201d in the sports region, and recently there has been training and recycling of referees, with training actions, which, as it says, would imply better performance on the field.<\/p>\n

The Regional Football Association in Santo Anta\u0303o Norte has not yet commented on Toreense’s accusations.<\/p>\n
