According to the health department, the corpse, whose sex has not yet been defined, was in a complete state of decomposition.<\/p>\n

In statements to Ra\u0301dio de Cabo Verde, quoted by Inforpress, Praia\u2019s health delegate, Ulardina Furtado, said that the alert was given to the Health Department by the head of the carnival group Vindos de A\u0301frica, from the Craveiro Lopes neighborhood.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe actually have a set of bones belonging to a corpse, at this moment it is not possible to say whether they are male or female. It looks like they are male, but for that we have to do an assessment, \u201dshe said.<\/p>\n

Investigation<\/p>\n

According to the same source, the corpse was in a state of total decomposition, so the hypotheses cannot be raised without complying with the investigation processes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is certain is that we found these bones placed inside boxes and bags and we will also have to know the time, if they were transported from one place to another\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n

The same source advanced that the Judiciary Police should, however, clarify whether the investigation will be carried out by national or foreign experts.<\/p>\n

The former space of the Achadinha Health Centre, located in Bairro Craveiro Lopes, in the city of Praia, and inaugurated in January 2009, was deactivated in October 2017 to receive correction works, since the building had problems in its structure .<\/p>\n
