Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The mayor of Brava, Francisco Tavares, returned this Wednesday, asking for \u201can urgent resolution\u201d of the problem of maritime transport to and from the island, which this week had \u201ca tremendous setback\u201d.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Inforpress, Tavares stated that the prevailing feeling at that moment as a mayor and citizen of Brava is \u201cvery angry\u201d, since the solution to the issue of maritime transport to and from Brava is \u201cmore complicated\u201d every day and the solution is to \u201clast a long time\u201d.<\/p>\n

According to the same source, this week the island has only one trip, noting that the boat left Brava on Monday 13, around 11:00 am, and the next scheduled trip is only on Sunday 19, which has been causing \u201cgreat and inconvenient inconvenience to all\u201d.<\/p>\n

He also stressed that this is \u201ca total cut in people\u2019s right to come and go\u201d, adding that there are people on Brava who came to work for a day or two and are unable to return, people with medical appointments in Fogo and Praia, but unable to arrive due to lack of ships.<\/p>\n
