Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>Six Uni-CV students selected under the Erasmus+ program are in the Czech Republic. It is the first time that students from the institution participate in this mobility program in the Czech Republic, being allocated to the Palacky University of Olomouc. For five months they will have the opportunity to enrich their knowledge and life experiences. Young people are motivated.<\/p>\n

The Erasmus+ program is an initiative that supports the European activities of higher education institutions, promoting the mobility and exchange of students, professors and staff.<\/p>\n

In all, at Uni-CV, six students were selected, most of them women: Fredwilson Costa, Isana Ramos, Bruna Varela, Samuel Dias, Kelly Morais, Dulce Bettencourt, three from Polo I \u2013 Praia \u2013 and three from Polo II \u2013 Sa\u0303o Vicente .<\/p>\n

The experience, assure the young people of the different courses, is being enriching. \u201cI met students from several countries, and it has been a very interesting exchange of experiences\u201d, says Kelly Morais, a student on the Cape Verdean Studies course, to the Uni-CV website. She explains that it has been a \u201cchallenge\u201d to get out of her \u201ccomfort zone\u201d.<\/p>\n

The cold, among the challenges to overcome<\/p>\n

But, there are several other challenges to overcome, when you are far away, in a strange country, so to speak, like adapting the language, and the climate.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe cold here is challenging for us, who come from a hot country like Cape Verde, but the hospitality is really worth it\u201d, guarantees Fredwilson Costa. However, the focus, he says, is \u201cto study and represent the country in the best way\u201d.<\/p>\n

Isana Ramos, a student of English Studies, makes it clear that she is living a good life experience, for her future. \u201cI believe that this adventure will be a great learning experience for my academic and personal life. Everything here is different and inspiring,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

New knowledge to broaden horizons<\/p>\n

Also from the same course as Isana, Dulce Bettencourt, is also \u201cvery happy\u201d to participate in this exchange, highlighting a new academic environment, new teaching methods and tools and the new cultures with which she is having the opportunity to live, given the multiculturalism of students.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll this will increase my knowledge not only about my field of study, but also about the world and about myself\u201d, she said.<\/p>\n

Also from the same course, Samuel Dias, is equally proud to be part of this program which, as he explains, will not only allow him to interact in academic environments, with different perspectives, but will also have the opportunity to evolve at the level of his ” critical thinking\u201d, being able to analyze academic content, using different approaches learned during the process.<\/p>\n

\u201cErasmus Spirit\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to everything that has already been mentioned by colleagues in terms of the challenges and opportunities of joining a program of this nature, student Bruna Varela makes a point of leaving a message of motivation to all those who want to live this \u201cmagnificent experience \u201d. Highlighting that despite all the adversities or less positive points, \u201call of them are overcome through the Erasmus spirit\u201d.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that, according to data from Uni-CV, since the beginning of the year, there are around 21 students in mobility programs in countries such as Slovakia, Portugal, Canary Islands, Hungary and Brazil, in addition to the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n
