Consternation already reigns among family members, friends and colleagues in the profession and work of Margarito Mello, affectionately addressed by \u201cTxitxo\u201d who died this Monday, the 20th.<\/p>\n

A well-known figure in Cape Verdean society, Txitxo was one of the founders of TEVEC (Televisa\u0303o Experimental de Cabo Verde), having also been an image operator for TCV.<\/p>\n

Txitxo was also a photographer for Jose\u0301 Maria Neves, current President of the Republic, during his term as Prime Minister of Cape Verde, being a beloved figure among professional colleagues and friends.<\/p>\n

On social networks, there are already countless notes of regret in honor of Txitxo, including Jose\u0301 Maria Neves, whom he accompanied around the \u201cworld\u201d for almost 15 years: \u201c… My great friend, a companion of all hours…\u201d, wrote JMN a few moments ago, on his official Facebook network.<\/p>\n

The current President of the Republic of Cape Verde also recalled the \u201csimple, generous, professional and sensitive man\u201d, who was by his side \u201cin the highest moments of my political and personal life\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo words can express how I feel right now. The last time he came to Cape Verde, he insisted, perhaps sensing his departure, to leave me a disc with thousands of photos, which he took of our wanderings around the world\u201d, he wrote.<\/p>\n
