Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The general director of the Atlantic Music Expo (AME), Gugas Veiga, highlighted the \u201cvery positive\u201d impact of the AME on Cape Verdean culture, artists and economy.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe feedback has been positive for the artists who have participated in the AME. This year, for example, was very good, we had several artists who had shown abroad and who made contacts in terms of future agencies\u201d, he stressed, exemplifying the singer Ineida Moniz who had shown in Portugal, June, in the United States of America , Ma\u0301rio Marta Scu\u0301ro Fitcha\u0301do and Ceuzany.<\/p>\n

The director general of AME considered 2022 to be the \u201cmost positive\u201d year for Cape Verdean artists, also meaning a year of return for international artists who participated in the event, namely Karina Gomes, from Guinea-Bissau.<\/p>\n

The official considered that the impact of this international event \u201cis very big\u201d for culture and, above all, for the Cape Verdean economy, noting that they have not yet been able to calculate its real impact, since a study of this nature costs \u201cvery expensive\u201d, the organization is looking for funding for this purpose.<\/p>\n
