Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The cured cheese produced in Planalto Norte of Porto Novo, in Santo Anta\u0303o, has the quality to compete anywhere in the world, believes the Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva.<\/p>\n

On a visit to the Planalto Norte, this Saturday, the head of government had the opportunity to witness an exhibition of local products, including the fresh and cured cheese produced in this high area of the Municipality of Porto Novo, where livestock is the main activity.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlanalto Norte is an area for cattle raising. I was able to attend an exhibition of high quality products that can be sold anywhere in the world\u201d, said the head of government.<\/p>\n

The mayor of Porto Novo also said that the cheese from the Planalto Norte is certainly the best in Africa and is among the best in the world, recalling that the fresh cheese received the \u201cSlow Cheese Award\u201d, attributed by the Slow Food Foundation.<\/p>\n
