Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>Matchu Lopes, Mitu Monteiro and Ailton Cozzolino, the three kitesurfing world champions advance to the semifinals of the 1st Kitesurfing World Circuit, which takes place on Ponta Preta beach. They are joined by the Brazilian Pedro Matos. These are the four potential winners.<\/p>\n

Mitu\u0301 Monteiro, who needs no introduction, with several world titles under his belt, qualified for the semifinals by eliminating the experienced Brazilian Sebastian Ribeiro in the quarterfinals.<\/p>\n

Already the Cape Verdean naturalized Spanish, Matchu\u0301 Lopes, who was also world champion, also qualified for the final, with strong support from the home public, by leaving the South African M. Maxwell on the way.<\/p>\n

Likewise, the Italian-Cape Verdean Ailton Cozzolino, also with a world title under his belt, qualified for the semi-finals in a very close fight with the Canadian Mreece Myerscough.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that to reach the quarterfinals Ailton Cozzolino managed to eliminate the Australian James Crew, holder of the current kitesurfing world title.<\/p>\n

Preceding the men’s semi-finals, the event was suspended to make way for the women’s semi-final, which takes place between the North American Moona Whyte x the Brazilian Keriane Rodrigues and the Brazilian Bruna Kajiya against Capucine Delannoy.<\/p>\n
