Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The rehabilitation works of the National Stadium are inaugurated this Monday, 21st, at 9:30 am. The intervention included, among others, a new complex that houses a laundry, kitchen and dining room that will be inaugurated during the ceremony. Then, on Friday the 24th, the games return to the pitch of the Esta\u0301dio Nacional, with the game between the teams of Cape Verde and Eswatini, referring to the third round of Group O of African qualification for CAN’2024.<\/p>\n

The improvements carried out for the requalification of the infrastructure include an artificial lawn, synthetic athletics track, tribune of honor, painting of benches and hardware, replacement of chairs, maintenance of generators and also interventions on the ramp for people with disabilities, and the removable tunnel .<\/p>\n

In addition, a new complex that houses a laundry, kitchen and dining room will also be inaugurated.<\/p>\n

According to the Government, the interventions at the National Stadium \u201cgo beyond\u201d the recent demands of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), which authorized the national team to play in the country’s largest sports infrastructure, referring to the third round of qualifying for the competition<\/p>\n

The inauguration of the requalification works will be presided over by the Deputy Minister of the Prime Minister for Youth and Sports, Carlos do Canto Monteiro, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China.<\/p>\n
