Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>Electra recorded, in 2022, national losses of 114 547 15 kWh in electricity production, corresponding to 24.4% of the total produced. Likewise, losses in water production at Electra Norte were around 44.1%. The data are contained in the provisional technical indicators, indicated in the 2022 accounts report, relating to the production, transport, distribution, commercialization of electricity, water and microgeneration.<\/p>\n

According to information advanced by Electra, the company produced, in 2022, 468 936 643 kWh of Electricity, of which it sold 308 503 615 kWh.<\/p>\n

With regard to water, out of a production of 9,770,145 m3, it sold 7,560,682 m3.<\/p>\n

\u201cTotal electricity losses were 114 547 15 kWh (24.4% of national production), total water distribution losses from Electra Norte were 44.1% m3 (42.7%) and water losses in high of Electra Sul were (2.9%)\u201d, explained the company.<\/p>\n

Quality and provision of services<\/p>\n

With regard to the quality and supply of services, the SAIFI (System Interruption Average Frequency Index) was 16.8 interruptions (Electra Norte) and 29.3 interruptions (Electra Sul).<\/p>\n

The SAIDI (System Interruption Average Duration Index) was 22.9 hours (Electra Norte) and 66.1 hours (Electra Sul).<\/p>\n

The company goes on to say that it ended 2022 with 165,240 active electricity customers and 33,087 active water customers.<\/p>\n

Of this total, 6,790 have prepaid contracts, 16,927 are beneficiaries of the social electricity tariff and 1,028 beneficiaries of the social water tariff.<\/p>\n

Street lighting<\/p>\n

Public Lighting, in turn, consumed 34,115 kWh of electricity, for a total of 49,232 light spots.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Thermal Production Plants consumed 16,683 475 liters of diesel, 10,378 343 liters of Fuel 180, 62,541,773 liters of Fuel 380 and 51,494 liters of MDO.<\/p>\n

Microgeneration had a total of 59 customers, with 350,050 kWh of injected energy, with a penetration rate of 0.07%.<\/p>\n

In view of these data, the company calls on all customers to pay their Electricity and Water bills in a timely manner, in order to contribute to improving the country’s Energy Sustainability.<\/p>\n

It also requests that practices and crimes of energy theft and fraud be denounced.<\/p>\n
