Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The national cycling team participates, in August, in the Cycling World Cup, which takes place in Glasgow, Scotland. The British coach, Dave Savage, will be the national coach and the teams will be announced soon, according to the Cabo Verdean Cycling Federation (FCC) today.<\/p>\n

In a press release, the FCC made it known that the invitation to the Cycling World Cup is a \u201cunique opportunity\u201d to give visibility to Cape Verdean cycling and to \u201cshow prestige to our flag and gain experience\u201d within the world cycling community.<\/p>\n

As national coach, British coach Dave Savage, a well-known name in the area, was appointed. Former athlete with accumulated titles, professional career coach and a lover of the islands.<\/p>\n

Team announced soon<\/p>\n

The composition of the team that will represent the country will be announced soon.<\/p>\n

The federation takes the opportunity to highlight the achievements that national cycling has achieved since the post-covid recovery.<\/p>\n

Among the major goals achieved, the holding of the National Championship and the unprecedented international participation in the African Road Cycling Championship stand out, with good results.<\/p>\n

Another reason for pride is the adherence of young cyclists to the modality. So much so that the federation intends to increase the Training component, starting with the Training of Technicians, capable of identifying talent and preparing young people for the challenges that the development of the sport imposes in the country.<\/p>\n
