\u201cWe are here because we are in solidarity with the populations of the municipalities of Santa Catarina and Tarrafal who are apprehensive, who have lost animals and pasture in this fire that continues to burn in the forest perimeter of Serra Malagueta\u201d, said the spokeswoman for the African Party parliamentarians of the Independence of Cape Verde (PAICV, opposition), Eveline Ramos.<\/p>\n

The deputy, who was speaking to Inforpress, after visiting the fire site and contacting residents, welcomed the presence of those responsible for the municipalities of Santa Catarina and Tarrafal in the fight against the spread of fires in the protected areas of Serra Malagueta, in the municipalities of Santa Catarina and Tarrafal (Island of Santiago).<\/p>\n
