Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>Sports Councillor Abel Ramos said on Thursday that sustainability, funding, represents one of the biggest challenges facing local sports organizations, particularly on an island like Boa Vista that has a lack of financial resources available to the sector.<\/p>\n

The Councillor of Sport at the City Hall of Boa Vista (CMBV), Abel Ramos, made this consideration when he spoke at the opening of the Sports Forum, under the theme \u201cSustainable sport for an island of champions\u201d.<\/p>\n

The event, which began today, was promoted by the City Hall to boost the sector and encourage the local sports community to take part in national events and create sustainable projects.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have seen that sustainability, funding, represents one of the biggest challenges for sports organizations and particularly on an island with a lack of financial resources available to the sector, and currently devastated by the covid pandemic, which has greatly affected sport,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
