Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Regional Political Commission (CPR) of PAICV, Lui\u0301s Nunes, accused MP Filipe Santos today of \u201cnot liking development\u201d and of \u201cnever having defended the interests\u201d of the island of Fogo.<\/p>\n

In a press conference to rebut what the CPR considered \u201clies and confusion\u201d from the coordinator of MpD and national MP, Filipe Santos, the same source stated that the MP \u201chas no moral authority\u201d to speak about Fogo because he is the MP who \u201cdefends the interests of the island the least\u201d and behaves like \u201ca servant of his party to keep his position.\u201d<\/p>\n

To support this, he pointed out \u201cseveral commitments made\u201d by the current Government, but it has never been heard that this MP \u201cdefends anything for Fogo other than defending his partisan lady.\u201d<\/p>\n

As examples of government commitments, he cited the transformation of the Sa\u0303o Filipe aerodrome into a medium-sized airport, the completion of the ring road, the expansion of the Vale dos Cavaleiros port, the creation of 45,000 jobs, the construction of the Bai\u0301a de Corvo dock in Mosteiros, the definitive winery and a fully equipped Health Center in Santa Catarina.<\/p>\n
