Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Cape Verde Cup, the second biggest football competition in the country, starts this Saturday, with two games in the first round, with the highlight being the confrontation between Varandinha, from Tarrafal de Santiago, and Travadores, from Praia. The match is scheduled for 4 pm, at Esta\u0301dio Municipal do Tarrafal.<\/p>\n

This match puts face to face two teams that also compete in the national championship, a competition that this weekend suffers an interregnum to give way to the Cape Verde Cup.<\/p>\n

The match is scheduled for 4 pm, at Esta\u0301dio Municipal de Tarrafal, and the winner will face Morabeza da Brava in the second round.<\/p>\n

In the other game, Santo Crucifixo, from Santo Anta\u0303o Norte, receives Ajat \u2013 SN, representative of the island of Sa\u0303o Nicolau, at Esta\u0301dio Joa\u0303o Serra, in the city of Ponta do Sol.<\/p>\n

This first round of the Cape Verde Cup is completed on the 14th of May with the confrontation between A\u0301frica Show and Barreirense, at Esta\u0301dio Arse\u0301nio Ramos, in the city of Sal-Rei, on the island of Boa Vista.<\/p>\n

According to the Cape Verdean Football Federation (FCF), the Cape Verde Cup is played using the knockout system, one leg, and by proximity between the regions.<\/p>\n

In the second round, Acade\u0301mica do Porto Novo (Santo Anta\u0303o Sul) plays with Acade\u0301mica do Mindelo (Sa\u0303o Vicente) and the winner of the game Santo Crucifixo (Santo Anta\u0303o Norte) \u2013 Ajat \u2013 SN will face Palmeiras (Sal).<\/p>\n

This phase is completed with the winner of the game between Africa Show (Boa Vista) \u2013 Barreirense (May) who will face the representative of Fogo and with Morabeza (Brava) receiving the winner of the duel between representatives Santiago Norte and Travadores.<\/p>\n
