Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, visited the Port of Tangier, in Morocco, to see “in loco” the operation of what is considered one of the twenty largest transhipment ports in the world. Ulisses Correia e Silva invited the administration to visit the Special Economic and Maritime Zone in Sa\u0303o Vicente (ZEEM) in Sa\u0303o Vicente.<\/p>\n

The visit, which took place on the third and penultimate day of the official visit of the Cape Verdean Executive to the Kingdom of Morocco, is part of the Government’s ambitions to carry out the project of the Special Economic and Maritime Zone in Sa\u0303o Vicente (ZEEM).<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press after visiting the Port of Tangier, Ulisses Correia e Silva, asserted that he had invited the administration and its staff to visit the island of Sa\u0303o Vicente to learn about the ZEEM project, with a view to exchanging experience regarding the existing governance model and that it has worked \u201cvery well\u201d with industrial activity for export.<\/p>\n

\u201cRegarding the port concession process, we are going to count on the technical support and sharing of experiences from Tangier Med for the definition of a good concept and contractual procedures\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n

Ulisses Correia e Silva, who was in Rabat and Tangiers, ended his mission with a visit to the Euro-Me\u0301diterrane\u0301enne University, in Fe\u0301s.<\/p>\n

Tanger Med was built in 2007, has held the number one spot on the African continent and in the Mediterranean for some years, and handles 20 percent of global maritime traffic.<\/p>\n
