Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Cup of the World Basketball Championship is in Cape Verde for exhibition in Mindelo and Praia, in order to encourage new generations of the sport and motivate the Cape Verdean team in the world cup.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, the trophy was on display in Ribeira Bote square, Mindelo, accompanied by a photo session and a 3X3 tournament with two training schools in Sa\u0303o Vicente.<\/p>\n

In Cidade da Praia, the trophy will remain for two days, Thursday and Friday, and will be displayed at Farol Dona Maria Pia, Forte de Sa\u0303o Filipe, Cidade Velha and Largo Ami\u0301lcar Cabral, during a 3\u00d73 tournament.<\/p>\n

Thunderstorm praises initiative<\/p>\n

Emanuel Trovoada believes that the opportunity given by FIBA \u200b\u200bfor the trophy to visit two islands is also important, Santiago, as of Thursday, and Sa\u0303o Vicente, an island with \u201cmany international talents\u201d.<\/p>\n

Cape Verde is one of the five African countries to represent the continent at the 2023 World Cup, along with South Sudan, Ivory Coast, Egypt and Angola.<\/p>\n
