Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Cultural Heritage Institute (IPC) works to improve the accessibility of the Archeology Museum, in Boa Vista, and the Sea Museum, in Sa\u0303o Vicente, and make them more inclusive, allowing the enjoyment of visitors with disabilities.<\/p>\n

This information was provided by the Director of Museums, Aleida Aguiar, in statements to Inforpress, in the city of Praia, within the scope of the International Museum Day, which is celebrated annually on the 18th of May.<\/p>\n

In May 2022, the IPC launched the \u201cAccessible Museums\u201d project, which aims to ensure physical and intellectual accessibility in all 10 museum structures supervised by the entity for people with disabilities, with the Ethnographic Museum of Praia and Campo da Concentrac\u0327a\u0303o ( Concentration Camp) as pilot spaces of Tarrafal.<\/p>\n

However, according to Aleida Aguiar, this desire has not yet materialized, and at the moment they are in a diagnostic phase in order to be able to submit the projects for funding.<\/p>\n
