Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Republic, Jose\u0301 Maria Neves, promised this Thursday, in the City of Praia, to speak \u201cat the right moment on the issue of Western Sahara, after the prime minister \u201crecognized the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco by Cabo Verde\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the right time, the President of the Republic will speak about this and other important issues\u201d, said Jose\u0301 Maria Neves, when asked by journalists, after a meeting with a mixed delegation from the Cabo Verdean Basketball Federation (FCB) and the body that oversees the modality in Africa.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, during his recent visit to Morocco, said that it had taken place at a \u201cspecial moment in relations between Cabo Verde and Morocco, with the formalization of recognition of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco by Cabo Verde\u201d.<\/p>\n

This position of the prime minister raised some stir in the Cabo Verdean political environment, with the president of the PAICV, Rui Semedo, considering that such statements symbolize a \u201csubstantial change\u201d in relation to the commitments assumed by the country, namely in the United Nations.<\/p>\n
