Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The National Basketball Team starts training for the World Cup on August 15, informed the national team. Emanuel Trovoada also admitted holding an international tournament in Cidade da Praia as part of the preparation of the national team.<\/p>\n

The coach explained that, right after the calculation, the national team started the preparation, but the official training sessions should start on the 15th of August.<\/p>\n

Cape Verde for the first time in the Basketball World Cup<\/p>\n

The Cape Verdean team qualified for the first time on the 26th of February this year for the World Cup, an event that will feature the participation of 32 teams, between the 25th of August and the 10th of September, in Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines.<\/p>\n

Cape Verde is one of the five African countries to represent the continent at the 2023 World Cup, along with South Sudan, Ivory Coast, Egypt and Angola.<\/p>\n
