Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>Ribeira Grande, Feb 1 (Inforpress) \u2014 Some citizens from Ribeira Grande are \u201cconcerned\u201d about the hygienic conditions at the municipal market of Ribeira Grande, Santo Ant\u00e3o, and warn the authorities to take action \u201cas soon as possible\u201d.<\/p>\n

Alberto Slee told Inforfress that he went shopping at the market and when he saw \u201cso much filth\u201d \u201cmainly\u201d in the place where they sell fish he was \u201cworried\u201d.<\/p>\n

According to the same, in addition to the fish being exposed without ice, with several insects on top, the materials in the place are \u201cprecarious\u201d and hygiene is \u201cnon-existent\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was extremely concerned about the hygiene and food safety conditions that are non-existent. The authorities have to take action because there is a source of disease\u201d he warned. The market, according to Alberto Slee, should be \u201calways\u201d clean.<\/p>\n
