Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The senior men’s team of Porto Novo Basket won, Wednesday, the Opening Tournament of the basketball season in Santo Anta\u0303o, by beating Santo Crucifixo, by 86 \u2013 38, in a game that ended the competition.<\/p>\n

Porto Novo Basket finished the competition with six points, with the Madrugadores team in second place, with three points. The Santo Crucifixo team did not score.<\/p>\n

After the opening tournament, these three teams will participate in the regional basketball championship of Santo Anta\u0303o that starts next Saturday, 3rd, thus marking the resumption of official competitions in Santo Anta\u0303o, after seven years of absence.<\/p>\n

According to the competition calendar, Santo Crucifixo and Porto Novo Basket will play in the first round, in Coculi.<\/p>\n

Simultaneous Junior Championship<\/p>\n

Also, this Saturday starts the regional junior championship (under – 18), with the participation of the Porto Novo Basket, Liprobasket and Santo Crucifixo teams.<\/p>\n

In this opening round, Santo Crucifixo receives Porto Novo Basket A, while Liprobasket plays Porto Novo Basket B.<\/p>\n

The organization of the events is in charge of a management commission, since the bodies of the Regional Basketball Association of Santo Anta\u0303o have been inactive for seven years.<\/p>\n
